New Mills
Berwick upon Tweed
TD15 1SY
Situated amidst the scenic splendour of Northumberland National Park, just a mile from the border with Scotland, New Mills is a self catering family accommodation option ideal for exploring and enjoying all the outdoor activities on offer.

While golf, walking, fishing and sight-seeing all provide ways in which to spend some time locally, all visitors will enjoy the peaceful solace of the locale courtesy of 19 acres of private land. Keen anglers in particular will appreciate easy access to the River Tweed via the tributary River Whiteadder which passes right outside the cottage and allows for trout fishing along this private stretch of the river.

Dating back to the 17th century, the mill building itself was lost to fire in 1910, but what remains is the house, the barn and the weir. The house sleeps up to 8 persons in style and comfort within four bedrooms comprised of three doubles and one twin.

As ideally suited for a group of friends for golf and fishing as for a family holiday, there is a family bathroom, shower room, lounge, dining and kitchen areas. A family run property since 1921 there is a real home from home atmosphere in the cottage providing a great place to return to after spending time out and about in Northumberland and the Borders.

Away from the rivers and the hills there is plenty to do for those seeking out some alternative activities. The historic town of Berwick Upon Tweed is just one the many towns in the area, while the cities of Edinburgh and Newcastle are just a short train ride away.

Golfers can head for Muirfield and Guillane or even the Open Championship qualifying course at Goswick, while those who just simply want a holiday away from it all can relax within the wonderful surrounds of the cottage itself, available from just £550 per week.
