Kielder Caravan Park
NE48 1EJ
A place which contains England's largest working forest and also the largest man-made lake in all of Europe may seem like the ideal holiday destination for lovers of fishing and other outdoor activities and this is exactly what defines Kielder Water & Forest Park.

Encompassing 250 square miles of the border region of Northumberland there is certainly plenty to explore and uncover and a good place to start is at one of the three visitor centres at Kielder Castle, Tower Knowe, and Leaplish. Alternatively just spend a while at Kielder Caravan Park and make a great base for a myriad of outdoor adventures.

A 75 pitch site for touring caravans motorhomes and touring tents, Kielder Caravan Park also has two static caravans and four pods for hire. The park occupies a lovely spot by the riverside and close to Kielder Village, the most remote village in England.

Just 3 miles too from the Scottish border there are ample opportunities for getting out and about and on the site itself is a shop for essential provisions as well as facilities for washing, showering and chemical disposal. Kielder Castle is the nearest visitor centre and is the place to get all the information on the history and natural attractions of the area as well as some of the local activities on offer.

Walking and some bird and animal spotting are popular ways in which to spend the time here but for keen anglers the river, the lake and its banks will be the main sites of interest. Sail boats and canoes are available for hire and guests are fee to launch their own boats too.

From here it is easy to access the best of Cumbria, the Scottish Borders and Northumberland, and so Kielder Caravan Park is well placed for some of the best fishing in the country. To request more information and to make a booking call the warden at Kielder Caravan Park.
