Professional tuition is offered to beginners, who will be shown how to cast and learn about the equipment and bait. The more experienced angler can also benefit from coaching to improve their skills and tips on flies and the optimum locations around the lake. The lake is restocked on a weekly basis and has an excellent amount of resident, over-wintered rainbow and brown trout of superb quality. Caistron Trout Fishery also has a beat on the river Coquet which has one and three quarter miles of single bank and three quarters of a mile of double bank and provides excellent brown trout, salmon and sea trout fishing. The beat has a five year rod average of 137 salmon and sea trout and is also available for fishing at very reasonable rates.
